Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregorio Martinez went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Freddy Sabin scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Matías Hendrickx, made in the 18th minute of the game. After having played for 20 minutes, Matías Hendrickx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matías Hendrickx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Resistencia's Freddy Sabin in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hugo Bakker was slow to take the kick. During this time Resistencia's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Resistencia's corner Hugo Bakker fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luca Espinar during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Resistencia booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Resistencia's Freddy Sabin got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Sabin in the 26th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Bakker in the 33rd minute of play. Resistencia's Gaetano Mathieu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Resistencia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddy Sabin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Resistencia's Freddy Sabin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ivan Navarro in the 51 minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Resistencia's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Freddy Sabin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddy Sabin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. Christian Sancho hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Sabin in the 63rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Freddy Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Resistencia's Hugo Bakker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Hugo Bakker made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Honduras's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Freddy Sabin 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. After having played for 80 minutes, Luca Espinar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Espinar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Resistencia's Freddy Sabin. But to his dismay, Freddy Sabin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. After a rather tough play, Resistencia's Melker Brummer got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Gaetano Mathieu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Resistencia played a much better game than Honduras and deserved their victory. The Honduras players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
