Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Ion Oblemenco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Bleoancă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was Feodor Vostrikov who took care of the corner kick. sɴᴏᴏᴋᴇʀ ᴄʟᴜʙ sɪɴᴀɪᴀ 2017's Feodor Vostrikov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feodor Vostrikov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Aron Bleoancă made a huge save. Ion Oblemenco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Cristi Rogozea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Cristi Rogozea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Cristi Rogozea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Cristi Rogozea made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ion Oblemenco got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ion Oblemencos short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 57th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. When Ion Oblemenco came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the sɴᴏᴏᴋᴇʀ ᴄʟᴜʙ sɪɴᴀɪᴀ 2017 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ion Oblemenco couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Marin Logofătu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 65th minute of play forced sɴᴏᴏᴋᴇʀ ᴄʟᴜʙ sɪɴᴀɪᴀ 2017's goalkeeper Aron Bleoancă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristi Rogozea, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Alexandru Porumbescu hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match.
