Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo did a great save. After a rather tough play, Vancouver Reds's 严霆梁 got a free kick in the 85th minute. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Omar Duardo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 87th minute.
