Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Vancouver Reds's Jerry Lawler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 3rd minute of play. After 18 played minutes Vancouver Reds got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Tate. Omar Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Lawler, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Vancouver Reds from getting a goal against them. Omar Duardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omar Duardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Lawler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Lawler came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 90th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Tate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Cameron Leary notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
