Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Yeadon United's Christopher Buxton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Videl Larrañaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Per-Olof Brovall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Brovall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Buxton in the 9th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yeadon United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Åke Persson in the 11th minute. The corner ended in Åke Persson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play forced Yeadon United's goalkeeper Per-Olof Brovall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st match minute, Yeadon United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milosz Pozorski to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Agustín Saelices left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Yeadon United's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Per-Olof Brovall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Yeadon United's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Olof Brovall came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play forced Yeadon United's goalkeeper Per-Olof Brovall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yeadon United's Per-Olof Brovall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Yeadon United's Kyrylo Korniychuk got a free kick in the 39th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Yeadon United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Per-Olof Brovall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Yeadon United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Felix Montes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Per-Olof Brovall quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Olof Brovall having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Kyrylo Korniychuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute of play forced Yeadon United's goalkeeper Per-Olof Brovall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Buxton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Videl Larrañaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yeadon United made a substitution. Yves Bonheur replaced Kevin Nancy. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Andino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Per-Olof Brovall. That made the score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play. Mark Duff charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Duff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Yeadon United getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Mark Duff hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milosz Pozorski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Per-Olof Brovall in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Ecuador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ecuador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
