Albano Unzueta came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dabi Vila to make the kick off. With a little luck, Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. 94 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albano Unzueta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to Peru's Alonso Berganza getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
