The supporters of Mindelos Academy booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Gaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Márcio Varanda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurentino Fontes. Márcio Varanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 19th minute of play. When Facundo Cadaval, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 22 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Márcio Varanda was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Mindelos Academy's Deng Liang Qi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Henriques in the 28th minute of play. Márcio Varanda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Mindelos Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Márcio Varanda quite easily take care of the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Bartolomeo Roßberger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Bartolomeo Roßberger sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Bartolomeo Roßberger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bartolomeo Roßberger really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Mindelos Academy's Márcio Varanda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Mindelos Academy got a freekick which was hit by Mateusz Paciuszko. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Márcio Varanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The shot was a little too simple and Márcio Varanda could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Mindelos Academy's Bartolomeo Roßberger got a free kick in the 55th minute. Márcio Varanda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 58th minute. Mindelos Academy's Márcio Varanda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 59th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Alberto Tafalla heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Mindelos Academy's Márcio Varanda managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 88th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Mindelos Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Márcio Varanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adriano Henriques hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute Paulo Eanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
