But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 孔洲亦 couldn't finish the play. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. 乔昆然 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 安徽纵横距离's 乔昆然 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save 安徽纵横距离 from getting a goal against them. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which 乔昆然 however easily saved by the left post. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after 安徽纵横距离's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by 吴辰岚 in the 19th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 孔洲亦 in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to 安徽纵横距离 getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. 俞彬磊 hit a great ball. 安徽纵横距离's 乔昆然 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save 安徽纵横距离 from getting a goal against them. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. 乔昆然 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Cuadrado in the 42nd minute of the match. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Cuadrado to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 63 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fabián You. With an all-out effort, 安徽纵横距离's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan Cuadrado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
