In the 10th minute of the match The Loyal ones got a corner. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustav Valström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Martinsson in the 11th minute. 15 minutes into the match, The Loyal ones's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Sven-Oskar Stensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Krister Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustav Valström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Cotilla.
