An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 14th minute of play forced Sinsin's goalkeeper Bavo Van Eeckhout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Vanooteghem, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Emanuel Vanooteghem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Vanooteghem to make the kick off. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mexico fully deserved thier win.
