Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neal Wakefield having to make a save.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chile were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
