The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Konrad Bugajski came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Warta Czestochowa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konrad Bugajski couldn't finish the play. Salvador Gisbert's late challenge caught a Warta Czestochowa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Marek Labus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Marek Labus. Warta Czestochowa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludomir Gall in the 20th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Warta Czestochowa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ksawery Bienienda in the 21st minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Marek Labus in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Konrad Bugajski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Labus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 28th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Guillermo Mariano put in a rough tackle. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Ludomir Gall:s penalty. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Bugajski, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Warta Czestochowa's Ludomir Gall got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 48th minute, Ksawery Bienienda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Patricio Costa made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Konrad Bugajski sent off a good shot on target. When Dino Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warta Czestochowa's protests and gave Dino Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. Dino Mendes hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Marek Labus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Warta Czestochowa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jose Correa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marek Labus quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Ludomir Gall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute, Ludomir Gall reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-2.
