Bastian Abel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bastian Abel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Eisenberg's Bastian Abel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FC Eisenberg from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Eisenberg getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mirko Saßmannshausen hit a great ball. Bastian Abel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Friedrich Reubold came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Mirko Saßmannshausen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mirko Saßmannshausen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bastian Abel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, FC Eisenberg's Wolfgang Schui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bastian Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mirko Saßmannshausen in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Eisenberg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wolfgang Schui in the 62nd minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after FC Eisenberg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jupp Knapp during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
