Başaran Ötüken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Başaran Ötüken having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Luis Andino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Başaran Ötüken was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 44 minutes, Nejat Alp Talayhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northern Lights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nejat Alp Talayhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hulki Kayrahan kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Northern Lights's Başaran Ötüken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of play. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 84 minutes into the match, Northern Lights's Sezen Hidayet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sezen Hidayet in the 96th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
