Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Benedicto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Primeiro in the 15th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SISTRELLS booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Albert Alcalde came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SISTRELLS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Alcalde couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Primeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sheldon Cooper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Sheldon Cooper scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 28 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Filomeno Benedicto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Alcalde, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sheldon Cooper showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 91st minute. When Celso Sandaili came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SISTRELLS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Sandaili couldn't finish the play. SISTRELLS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
