Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Enrique Paiva made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Gallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Enrique Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Cássio Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dito Araújo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dito Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Fontirroig, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Bolivia's Mario Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Alfonso de la Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino got a free kick in the 31st minute. Enrique Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's zone, Alfredo Ferrant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito Araújo came out of the goal and Alfredo Ferrant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goalkeeper Dito Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eduardo Fontirroig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mario Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Fernandino couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 51st match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Fontirroig to maneuver through the defense. Mario Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Araújo having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Enrique Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduardo Fontirroig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dito Araújo having to make a save. Eduardo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Dito Araújo made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Mario Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. Bolivia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
