Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Batuhin in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Batuhin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Horea Băieșu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luz Tejedor might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulgencio Villalcazar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luz Tejedor ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Villalcazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cuatrodeocho getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Belarmino Campos hit a great ball. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cuatrodeocho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felipe Dimas in the 25 minute of the game. Sid Wilson made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Milagros Fraga. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Batuhin was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Băieșu, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Andy Entrena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuatrodeocho's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Entrena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cuatrodeocho made a substitution. José Planes replaced Sid Wilson. Cuatrodeocho's Marco-Antonio Landa was substituted for Javier Maroto. Fulgencio Villalcazar made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Milagros Fraga sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Cuatrodeocho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Milagros Fraga made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Rafael Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Gallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Villalcazar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
