The throw-in from 温明政 in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 14th minute of play forced 『挑战者』輝煌16人￠明月何时照我还≮FCB≯'s goalkeeper 沈亮邦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes in the game Ivan Navarro did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Sebastian Villa. After 21 minutes, 尹耀斐 made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute of the match, 宋永响 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Honduras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when 尹耀斐 scored to the left of an out of position Lautaro Navarro, making the score, 3-0. Mustafa Ekrem Ciray, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Cabal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. 尹耀斐 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 宋永响 in the 65th minute of play. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 沈亮邦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mustafa Ekrem Ciray hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 宋永响, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
