Wong Butcher kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oakham's Bryan Hui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 34th minute of play. A hard shot 40 in the game by Jerry Soon from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asiz Rajah in the 43rd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oakham's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Bryan Hui, making the score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Oakham's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryan Hui came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gara Hock in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Oakham's goalkeeper Bryan Hui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Bryan Hui to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerry Soon in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Jerry Soon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asiz Rajah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 96th minute.
