The supporters of Ecuador booed when Reko-Recko 03™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo de Sena was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-6. The Reko-Recko 03™ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
