Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ronaldão Paulista got the match started through his kick off. Nelsinho Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute, Ronaldão Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Nelsinho Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 minutes Guará FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Nelsinho Nascimento despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. A collision led to Guará FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Gustavo Nascimento hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelsinho Nascimento. Guará FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustín Saelices was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Nelsinho Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Nelsinho Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Nelsinho Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Nelsinho Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Guará FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Nascimento during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustavo Nascimento hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelsinho Nascimento having to make a save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Vieira in the 45th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Lachezar Dzhevov. 47 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Nelsinho Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. With a little luck, Guará FC's Nelsinho Nascimento got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Guará FC's Tiago Gabriel Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Kristian Beckenbauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guará FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho Nascimento came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Guará FC's Nelsinho Nascimento got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Guará FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guará FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nelsinho Nascimento quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gisbert during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Guará FC. Lachezar Dzhevov stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julio Vera. 2-1. After having played for 94 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Guará FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
