Bierunese's Werner Kamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 8th minute of play. Kevin Arnolds who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 11 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. 16 minutes into the match, Kevin Arnolds dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 3-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Arnolds's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Christiaan Schipper got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 4-0. The supporters of Bierunese booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Kevin Arnolds tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bram Sandstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Christiaan Schipper came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Bierunese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiaan Schipper couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Kevin Arnolds's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 41 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Clementi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Baldomiro Clementi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. Baldomiro Clementi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. In the 46th minute of the match, Kevin Arnolds tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Alvarez in the 47th minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Arnolds stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Puig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Werner Kamps read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. Bierunese's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds. But to his dismay, Kevin Arnolds quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 62nd minute, Donato Alvarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Kevin Arnolds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Bierunese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hubert Lever to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 71st minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Arnolds, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Donato Alvarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91stth minute of the game Kevin Arnolds who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abel Carballo was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Arnolds went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Bierunese players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
