The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Bobeanu got free with Rolando Noboa in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tanek Ostrowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. If Şota Arveladze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Olympique Gdynia's Adrian Bobeanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olympique Gdynia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabio-Roman Zabaleta in the 32nd minute. The Olympique Gdynia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes in the game German Eskuin did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Charles Darwin. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Tanek Ostrowski made a huge save. Tanek Ostrowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Luz Tejedor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tanek Ostrowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Tanek Ostrowski made a huge save. Eliseo Mina scored 0-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tanek Ostrowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had been going on for 74 minutes, Peru's Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tanek Ostrowski. With a little luck, Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tanek Ostrowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Bobeanu in the 84th minute of play. Adrian Bobeanu scored 1-4 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski got control of the ball when Antonio Tenorio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 94 played minutes Olympique Gdynia got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Frankowski. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
