Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Dutton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Paul Iftodi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. In the 11th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Mario Dutton. Panathinaikos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With an all-out effort, Panathinaikos FC's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dexter Holt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 16th minute of play forced Panathinaikos FC's goalkeeper Mario Dutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Mario Dutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Dutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Panathinaikos FC's Mario Dutton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 22nd minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Iftodi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Dutton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Iftodi in the 42nd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dexter Holt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glauco Nascimento in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Panathinaikos FC's Mario Dutton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Panathinaikos FC from getting a goal against them. Mario Dutton was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Lautaro Mancebo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Mario Dutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dexter Holt hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Iftodi in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mario Dutton. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Dutton made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Mario Dutton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 96th minute. The Panathinaikos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
