Espen Lyngsby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match Mexico got a corner. -BZF- Ursus Magura's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby did a great save. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Vergulescu in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when -BZF- Ursus Magura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwan Pusiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 38th minute of play forced -BZF- Ursus Magura's goalkeeper Espen Lyngsby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Udrea kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Lautaro Mancebo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Espen Lyngsby. That made the score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Mihăiţă Vergulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 53rd minute of play forced -BZF- Ursus Magura's goalkeeper Espen Lyngsby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by -BZF- Ursus Magura's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby did a great save. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. -BZF- Ursus Magura made a substitution. Aron Pantiș replaced Edvin Tinglöv. In the 60th minute Mihăiţă Vergulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to -BZF- Ursus Magura getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cristi Dinu hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Espen Lyngsby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Espen Lyngsby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 75th minute of play. In the 87th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Espen Lyngsby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by -BZF- Ursus Magura's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luca Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby did a great save. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Espen Lyngsby. Espen Lyngsby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Mexico were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing -BZF- Ursus Magura to leave the ground with a draw.
