A collision led to Atletico Kyperountas getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Abdulvahit Kaşif hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Wyrzykowski's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Ryszard Bronicki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Atletico Kyperountas could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
