Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karl Lundberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Rodrigo Fonseca managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Eurico lago however easily saved by the left post. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barto Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico lago having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Pepe Bomba put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pepe Bomba made a kick off. FC Beatriz 08's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Márcio Cordeiro in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico lago. FC Beatriz 08's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. The supporters of FC Beatriz 08 booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Pepe Bomba came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
