Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, DiYaRBeKiR Turkey's Kiur Vasmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a DiYaRBeKiR Turkey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Venezuela's Alex Chicote managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Santo Buinton in the 42 minute of the game. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 66th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Rousselle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, DiYaRBeKiR Turkey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Blajovici to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sarbelio Ayala in the 81st minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Gennadiy Tytarenko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gennadiy Tytarenko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Sarbelio Ayala notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
