Alejandro Farias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paunero's Modesto Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Backlund in the 7th minute of play. Rony Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Farias, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute, Blas Arlo made a precise shot to the right of Rony Zanette. Xiboquinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Farias came free, but Rony Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Liberto's late challenge caught a Xiboquinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Liberto helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Paunero's Leopoldo Liberto got a free kick in the 25th minute. Fermin Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fermin Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Xiboquinha FC's Tage Backlund in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paunero's goalie prevented a goal. Tage Backlund took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Modesto Theodore. Modesto Theodore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Blas Arlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silverio Semeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Zanette having to interfere. If Tage Backlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the match, Paunero's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Backlund came free, but Modesto Theodore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tage Backlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Modesto Theodore. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tage Backlund ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Backlund in the 45th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Modesto Theodore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Fermin Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paunero's Modesto Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Backlund in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Silverio Semeno made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Paunero booed when Xiboquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tage Backlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57thth minute of the game Tage Backlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paunero's Modesto Theodore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Modesto Theodore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Backlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Backlund in the 63rd minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Modesto Theodore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albano Eladio hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Rony Zanette came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Paunero's Guillermo Geofredo. But to his dismay, Guillermo Geofredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Alejandro Farias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tage Backlund in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Modesto Theodore saved Paunero from getting behind. Modesto Theodore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Eladio to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute Alejandro Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Liberto kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Modesto Theodore was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tiberiu Jienescu. 85 minutes into the match, Tage Backlund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Modesto Theodore, 3-2. Duda Nesta kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. During the 95th minute of the match Fermin Neto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fermin Neto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 96 minutes into the game, Xiboquinha FC's Tage Backlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Modesto Theodore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
