Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Pogoń Szczecin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan Estevan Hamdorf took the corner. With a little luck, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula got control of the ball when Bartlomiej Wojtowicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Podador Raheiro came free, but Krzysztof Domamir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Shi Yuan hit a great ball. Fabian Niemojewski hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Juan Estevan Hamdorf took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Krzysztof Domamir. Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Trayko Gradinarski was substituted for Zhou Yao Si. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Krzysztof Domamir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Zhi Chuan came free, but Krzysztof Domamir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yan Zhi Chuans short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Krzysztof Domamir to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yan Zhi Chuan got free with Krzysztof Domamir in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartlomiej Wojtowicz in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilkka Markkula prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute, Antonio Gorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vágner Linares hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Karol Burdzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilkka Markkula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartlomiej Wojtowicz in the 96th minute of the match. When Shi Yuan fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportes Santa Cruz's protests and gave Shi Yuan a yellow card for diving instead. After 97 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Shi Yuan.
