With his leg Romulo Gelacio managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Drottningens Parkväktare's Karl-Magnus Harlén fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Romulo Gelacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 22nd minute of play. When He Qiang came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that He Qiang couldn't finish the play. If Petros Mousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Gelacio made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Karl-Magnus Harlén sent off a good shot on target. After 38 played minutes INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Viveiros. With a little luck, INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Romulo Gelacio got control of the ball when Vladimír Šach tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl-Magnus Harlén's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Romulo Gelacio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Romulo Gelacio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. He Qiang was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romulo Gelacio saved INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB from getting behind. Karl-Magnus Harlén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Karl-Magnus Harlén came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Drottningens Parkväktare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Magnus Harlén couldn't finish the play. He Qiang who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Andreas Fransson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Ciuvică came free, but Romulo Gelacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romulo Gelacio came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Drottningens Parkväktare's Nunez Gabino. But to his dismay, Nunez Gabino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Andreas Fransson was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Boni Yarman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Boni Yarman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Higinio Barros hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nunez Gabino in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romulo Gelacio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emil Ciuvică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Narciso Vergaray was substituted for Petros Mousa. Karl-Magnus Harlén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romulo Gelacio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Drottningens Parkväktare were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vladimír Šach took the corner. After 91 played minutes Drottningens Parkväktare got a freekick which was hit by Magne Holmgren. Norberto Fresco charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norberto Fresco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Drottningens Parkväktare booed when INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Fresco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Drottningens Parkväktare fans cheered their team off the field, for while INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
