In the 12th minute Wen Bing Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Barra EC's Romeu Borges got control of the ball when Wen Bing Liang tried to sneak it across the goal line. János Moravecz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Paraense in the 18th minute of the match. With a left leg Romeu Borges saved Barra EC from getting behind. A hard shot 37 in the game by Wen Bing Liang from a close distance when the talented Romeu Borges managed to make a qualified save. Barra EC's players were relieved. After 40 played minutes, SÉ SE's Armas Vapamaa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romeu Borges came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SÉ SE reached it. 41 minutes into the game, SÉ SE's Armas Vapamaa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeu Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Barra EC's Ismael Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

In the 54thth minute of the game Wen Bing Liang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barra EC's Romeu Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of SÉ SE booed when Barra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball.
