Água Santa's Albino Che getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Fernandez Gøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Souto in the 11th minute of play. Barra EC's Pedro Luiz Souto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fernandez Gøl in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Romeu Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Casemiro in the 14th minute of play. Fábio Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeu Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, Barra EC's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Coelho came free, but Romeu Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barra EC's Manuel Loyola got a free kick in the 16th minute. Fábio Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeu Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. Romeu Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Coelho in the 28th minute of play. Fábio Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Fábio Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romeu Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, E.C. Água Santa's goalkeeper Fernandez Gøl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Luiz Souto. Romeu Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Coelho in the 38th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Pedro Luiz Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandez Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remy Sanderson made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by E.C. Água Santa's Valdomiro Rosado. Romeu Borges was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Gualterio Gilabert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Água Santa and the Barra EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barra EC's Romeu Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Barra EC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Barra EC's Romeu Borges got control of the ball when Gualterio Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. E.C. Água Santa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos Casemiro in the 83rd minute. Frank da Rocha made a great header on E.C. Água Santa's corner, it was just that Barra EC's Romeu Borges managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 85th minute, Gualterio Gilabert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romeu Borges. The goal made the score 0-3. Gualterio Gilabert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Romeu Borges made a huge save. Remy Sanderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The E.C. Água Santa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing E.C. Água Santa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
