In the 38thth minute of the game Bart van Goetsenhoven who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 39 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bart van Goetsenhoven who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Bart van Goetsenhoven almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Tamás Antal scored 1-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart van Goetsenhoven in the 51st minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart van Goetsenhoven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Gábor Király despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luca Zorita in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gábor Király prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Facundo Cadaval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gábor Király read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Gábor Király made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 87th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gábor Király having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tamás Antal in the 92nd minute of play. The FC Henter Somosd support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
