A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ramblones 91218's Pastor Obano. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Hernan Gitano made a huge save. Pastor Obano charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pastor Obano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Ramblones 91218 got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Obano. In the 17th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernan Gitano made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. After 26 played minutes Ramblones 91218 got a freekick which was hit by Roque Ipar. 30 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernan Gitano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Bertol, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 34th minute, Feliciano Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 38 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ramblones 91218's Pastor Obano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ramblones 91218's Damian Urko quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 44th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Nesto to strike the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Juan Rubio in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ramblones 91218's Ruben Aritza. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Gitano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Ramblones 91218's Teodoro Lehior got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 64th minute, Teodoro Lehior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 minutes, Narciso Nesto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ramblones 91218 and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Ramblones 91218 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Nesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Eliseo Noboa made a precise shot to the right of Hernan Gitano. Ramblones 91218's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 76th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Gitano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 77th minute of play forced Ramblones 91218's goalkeeper Hernan Gitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 78th minute. The corner led Costa Rica's Juan Rubio to fire away a dangerous shot which Hernan Gitano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Ramblones 91218 booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Ferrant made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ramblones 91218's Ruben Aritza. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Puig got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alan Moruga. Ramblones 91218's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
