After 4 minutes of play, Kumla BK's David Östman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the game, Per Forss cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the match, Kumla BK's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Fred Hellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvin Bäckman went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per Forss went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Per Forss sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Forss in the 27th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Per Forss had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Per Forss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Calle Vester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Kumla BK's Peter Salqvist in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Per Forss made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Kumla BK getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Peter Salqvist hit a great ball. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Kumla BK's Per Forss. But to his dismay, Per Forss quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Peter Salqvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Salqvist. In the 80th minute of the match Kumla BK got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Calle Vester ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alvin Bäckman made a great header on Kumla BK's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Per Forss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Per Forss 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-9. After having played for 96 minutes, Per Forss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kumla BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per Forss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kumla BK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
