Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With an all-out effort, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yulian Florov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Krum Nikolchov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zdzislaw Obuchowicz in the 20th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 24th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Krum Nikolchov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Krum Nikolchov. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zdzislaw Obuchowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Krum Nikolchov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Sven Brask made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Lokomotiv Plovdiv getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Lin Feng Xi hit a great ball. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krum Nikolchov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 69th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Krum Nikolchov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Nazario, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Jordi Alba got a free kick in the 75th minute. Krum Nikolchov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luca Zorita went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Luca Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Krum Nikolchov came out and tried to block the shot, but Luca Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Nazario in the 90th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. Facundo Nazario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Krum Nikolchov made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
