The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute Lázaro Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Beltxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play. Lázaro Cefero might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lázaro Cefero ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Cefero in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Lázaro Cefero made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Peru's Luz Tejedor managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Martin Bieito in the 32 minute of the game. Aldo Beltxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 34th minute of the match. Julian Murillo in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aldo Beltxe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 42nd match minute, Marno F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pete Sutcliffe to maneuver through the defense.

In the 53rd minute Lázaro Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, one of Marno F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aldo Beltxe had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Luz Tejedor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 64 minutes Marno F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 67th minute of play forced Marno F.C.'s goalkeeper Aldo Beltxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Cefero in the 70th minute of play. Marno F.C.'s Aldo Beltxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 76th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
