The audience was convinced that Dedé Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dedé Pires in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute of the match ASD USAC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dedé Pires ran over to the corner to take the kick. ASD USAC's Dedé Pires was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Federico Ali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 37th minute Silas Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dedé Pires in the 38th minute. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dedé Pires in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Dedé Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ASD USAC fully deserved thier win.
