After having played for 23 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes in the game Camilo Gisbert did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luis Andino. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Sebastián Puig in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nemesio Baladi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nemesio Baladi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nemesio Baladi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nemesio Baladi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, 『挑战者』太平·一生铭记≮浙≯'s 曲文骋 got a free kick in the 46th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from László Várdai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when László Várdai made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Nemesio Baladi in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Nemesio Baladi made a huge save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when 『挑战者』太平·一生铭记≮浙≯ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabri Taci didn't get a good kick on the ball. The 『挑战者』太平·一生铭记≮浙≯ players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
