With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Eiró in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Victor Kristiansen made a great header on GD Almargense's corner, it was just that Chile's Thiago Pliego managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 50thth minute of the game Celso Eiró who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Eiró was the one to do the kick off. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 95th minute of play. The GD Almargense supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GD Almargense would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
