The supporters of Fluet FK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Fluet FK's Roman Trzenzalski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 20 minutes into the game, Tony Skager threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Roman Trzenzalski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Roman Trzenzalski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 in the 24 minute of play. Gilbert Ek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Trzenzalski got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Nils-Erik Soned made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Patricio Costa sent off a good shot on target. If Gilbert Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wit Walec during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes Fluet FK got a freekick which was hit by Wit Walec. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wit Walec came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes Fluet FK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Salvador Gisbert was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Fluet FK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
