Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jonathan Stamnes made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Etoo. In the 10th minute Austin Mills shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rick Brearley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Austin Mills came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Rick Brearley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Henrik Etoo with Seth Hornsby as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Beppe Franceschelli kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrik Etoo got free with Dante Lacasa in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Stamnes in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celtic de Sarda were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jonathan Stamnes took the corner. The corner ended in Niklas Pettersson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. In the 36th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Stamnes in the 37th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celtic de Sarda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonathan Stamnes in the 38th minute. In the 38th minute, Kauã Lopes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celtic de Sarda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 43 minutes into the game, one of Mexico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Lautaro Mancebo made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Stamnes in the 51st minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rick Brearley came out and tried to block the shot, but Lautaro Mancebo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 58th minute. Austin Mills kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Celtic de Sarda's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Facundo Cadaval to fire away a dangerous shot which Rick Brearley despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austin Mills in the 65th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rick Brearley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celtic de Sarda's Alex Stead was substituted for Austin Mills. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Stamnes in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Jonathan Stamnes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Stamnes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 74th match minute, Celtic de Sarda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deon Furlong to maneuver through the defense. Celtic de Sarda's Rick Brearley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Celtic de Sarda from getting a goal against them. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rick Brearley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 80th minute. In the 80th minute, Lautaro Mancebo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rick Brearley. The goal made the score 3-2. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rick Brearley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rick Brearley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. 95 minutes into the match, Henrik Etoo notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
