Timo Schlagbauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timo Schlagbauer in the 17th minute of play. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timo Schlagbauer succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timo Schlagbauer in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Timo Schlagbauer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timo Schlagbauer in the 42nd minute. After 46th play minutes Timo Schlagbauer shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timo Schlagbauer to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timo Schlagbauer went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Timo Schlagbauer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ulrich-Jürgen Sittarz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timo Schlagbauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timo Schlagbauer kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of F.C CAN BÄCKEREI booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Timo Schlagbauer came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the F.C CAN BÄCKEREI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timo Schlagbauer couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Timo Schlagbauer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Timo Schlagbauer scored 5-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulrich-Jürgen Sittarz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Timo Schlagbauer put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 88th minute. After 95th play minutes Timo Schlagbauer shot 8-2, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. F.C CAN BÄCKEREI had played much better football throughout.
