After 22 minutes of play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Colecchia was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24thth minute of the game Daniele Massaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Giovanni Falcone made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. When Seggiano's Daniele Massaro in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Seggiano's Giovanni Falcone made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Eugenio Colecchia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Godo Møltoft kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. The referee ignored Seggiano's protests and gave Daniele Massaro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Seggiano's Daniele Massaro got a free kick in the 89th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Daniele Massaro notched a goal, 6-5, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares.
