Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Zubaşcu in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nistor Sfetcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25th play minutes Liviu Zubaşcu shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nistor Sfetcu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nistor Sfetcu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Costică Glăvan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 44 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave bullfinches the free kick. Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aron Costea. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Nistor Sfetcu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 60 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Surdilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. bullfinches's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Eusebiu Surdilă kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Emilian Crușeveanu made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Costică Glăvan. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a bullfinches's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute Liviu Zubaşcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Nistor Sfetcu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
