Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Mădălin Cangeopol started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Cangeopol in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match Tractorul Satulung -MM- got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mugur Cenușă ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Mădălin Cangeopol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Mădălin Cangeopol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alper Benli, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Mădălin Cangeopol put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alper Benli in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 28thth minute of the game Mădălin Cangeopol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panait Hațegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panait Hațegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Heintje Gamarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Panait Hațegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. After 56th play minutes Cristian Sancho shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Panait Hațegan and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 62nd minute, Alper Benli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mădălin Cangeopol in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Mădălin Cangeopol got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Tractorul Satulung -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alper Benli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Mădălin Cangeopol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 80 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mugur Cenușă who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Mugur Cenușă to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Alper Benli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Alper Benli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Mădălin Cangeopol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
