Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Retumbante FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apat Reina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Retumbante FC's José Paulo Mendonça. But to his dismay, José Paulo Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 25th minute Retumbante FC were awarded a corner. Kauã Mandrak went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Luiz Fernando Mota. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kauã Mandrak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Kauã Mandrak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo Mendonça in the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, José Paulo Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Retumbante FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Paulo Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apat Reina. Retumbante FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Retumbante FC's José Paulo Mendonça. But to his dismay, José Paulo Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when José Paulo Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Mendonça came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Mendonça in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, José Paulo Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and José Paulo Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Retumbante FC's Eurico Galvão got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, José Paulo Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Frank Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauã Mandrak in the 91st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã Mandrak in the 93rd minute of the match. Retumbante FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Venezuela to leave the ground with a draw.
