The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Róbert Borsos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Ödön Végvári tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ödön Végvári in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by I ll be back's János Szarka. But to his dismay, János Szarka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Endre Szűcs charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Endre Szűcs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Honduras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
