Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when José Paulo Mendonça kicked off to start the match. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Apat Reina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apat Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 10th minute of play forced Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apat Reina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 16 minutes into the match, Retumbante FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Apat Reina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Retumbante FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Apat Reina in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apat Reina having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Mendonça in the 30th minute of play. Apat Reina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apat Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Retumbante FC's Jarbas Dantas was substituted for Basílio Cearense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, José Paulo Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Retumbante FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Kauã Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 64thth minute of the game Fabinho Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Retumbante FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Apat Reina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabinho Bittencourt during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabinho Bittencourt hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. José Paulo Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Apat Reina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Leoz might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apat Reina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Leoz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Retumbante FC's Eurico Galvão got a free kick in the 84th minute. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Apat Reina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Retumbante FC's Kauã Mandrak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
